Deep-water crossings are amongst the most fear-inducing and intimidating obstacles a four-wheeler can encounter. In Africa, South or Central America or the Australian Outback, a sudden flood can turn a dry river bed into a raging torrent in a few short hours. There are no bridges, no easy "go-rounds", there is no way to proceed but to ford the river. For these situations, Peter Luxon developed the Safari Snorkel. These beautifully made snorkel units are imported into the US by ARB, and raise the air intake to a point level with the top of the windshield. The Safari snorkel is also a must in dry conditions where low-hanging dust kicked up by the wind and other vehicles will quickly clog your engine's air filter. Finally, the Safari Snorkel improves the air flow to the air intake and helps your engine breathe easier under all conditions.
