With this new DE auxiliary fog lamp, Hella gives automobile designers, fine-tuners and do-it-yourselfers just what they need to open up surprising potential in terms of lighting.
The smallest DE auxiliary fog lamp from Hella is ideal for surface-fitting in front spoilers and air dams. The DE fog lamp is characterized not only by its small dimensions (2 5/8" H x 2 7/8" W x 5 1/2" D), but also by the DE light technology and it's material makeup. The body and the reflector are manufactured from high-quality magnesium, a material which is now used wherever products are subject to great stress (e.g. in aviation, space travel or Formula 1).
What is DE light technology?
The principle behind DE headlamps is similar to that of a slide projector. An elliptical reflector directs the light to a focusing lens which bundles it and projects it onto the road. A shield positioned between the reflector and the lens provides precise cutoff.
DE headlamps, a Hella innovation, are ideal for low-beam and fog lamp use.
Advantages in comparison with parabolic headlamps:
Smaller dimensions
Almost twice the light output
Clear cutoff
Hardly any scatter loss
Micro DE Kit:
Two lamps with silver decoration rings,
black bezel, H3 bulbs, soft rubber caps, brackets,
wiring harness, relays, and switch
