 A Safari snorkel relocates your engine’s air intake point from a relatively low and vulnerable position under the bonnet to a much higher and safer location where a constant source of cool, clean, dry air is available. The benefits are twofold. First of all, the likelihood of your engine taking on water during a stream crossing is greatly reduced. Without fitment of a Safari snorkel, even quite shallow water presents a serious hazard to your engine. Secondly, a Safari snorkel minimises the chances of dust inhalation when driving in dry conditions, when you’re off road or at the end of a convoy for instance. By decreasing the risk of water and dust ingestion, you dramatically reduce the likelihood of severe and costly damage to your vehicle’s engine. |
